The Center is a resource for faculty involved in teaching gerontology, for students interested in older adults, and for practicing professionals desiring continuing education. Healthy Aging Scholarships
The de Tornyay Center for Healthy Aging is pleased to provide scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate students to pursue research in the field of gerontology. Faculty mentors offer individual guidance and serve as valuable resources for beginning researchers. To date, over 80 undergraduate and graduate scholarships have been awarded. These scholarships are unrestricted funds available to support and nurture interest in older adults. Undergraduate awards are $2,000. Master's awards are $5,000 and doctoral awards are $7,500.

Aging-Related Education Initiatives
The de Tornyay Center has been actively involved in a number of Geriatric Nursing Initiatives funded by the John A. Hartford Foundation, including the current RAND/Hartford Center for Interdisciplinary Geriatric Research. Nursing faculty have also received funding for other aging-related education and center initiatives. |
